Privacy
Matrix Validation checks claims about property. It watches property, never people.
What is kept when you check a claim
- The claim as you typed it, your replies to the engine’s questions, and the engine’s answer.
- For an attached document: what kind of document it is and the facts read from it (price, size, bedrooms, floor). The file itself is not kept in this record.
- The time, and which release of the engine answered.
What is not kept with it
- Your name, your contact details or your network address.
- Phone numbers and e-mail addresses written inside a claim: they are removed before the claim is stored.
Why it is kept
To find and fix a wrong answer, and to measure how well the engine reads claims. A claim that cannot be found afterwards cannot be corrected.
Visits
Visits are counted. The count uses a one-way scrambled form of the network address, so the same visitor is not counted twice; the address itself is not stored.
Each step of checking a claim is counted too (asked, scored, report opened), with that same scrambled visitor code, the claim’s reference, the kind of property and the community it concerns. This lets us see how often a visitor returns and which claims belong to the same visit. It does not tell us who the visitor is.
Accounts
If you sign up, the details you give are kept with your account so you can sign in and see your own work. Checking a claim does not need an account.
